Returning home too soon after surgery can put you at risk.
Depending on your cosmetic procedure, getting up and moving around after surgery is essential, as this will minimize your risk of developing blood clots. If you are traveling home to Idaho, Wyoming, or even to a destination further away, it is important to talk with Dr. Brzowski about your travels. Whether you are flying or driving, traveling long distances can make it harder for you to stretch out and move around as needed. Blood-thinning medications can reduce your risk of blood clots, but they are off-limits for post-surgery patients.
Take the time you need to heal.
Your comfort level factors into your travel plans, as well. Sitting in a cramped plane or traveling in a car is uncomfortable and even painful. When considering a cosmetic procedure in Utah, why not take a few weeks and enjoy the beauty of the state while you heal?

How will I handle any post-operative appointments?
A qualified, board-certified plastic surgeon will need to see you several times after your surgery. Consider the type of cosmetic procedure you have selected and its recovery time. You may want to engage the help of a family member or friend to assist you during your recovery. You will want to ensure you have all the information you need about your post-procedure appointments.
